Spare Time:  Mum, wife, Wordwatcher, writer

Loves:  My family, friends, laughing, losing myself in a good book, camping holidays, Christmas, making people happy

Hates:  Arguments, newspapers, foul weather camping, commercialism, meanness, labels, injustice.

Vices:  Chocolate, X-Factor, my sofa (and I can do all three at once!)

All-time Favourite Authors:  Guy Gavriel Kay (faves – A Song for Arbonne, Tigana, the Sarantine Mosaic); Charles de Lint (Moonheart, Trader, endless great books); Alexander McCall Smith (esp Scotland St and Isabel Dalhousie series) Jane Austin, biographies

Current Reads:  Kate Atkinson, Celia Ahern, Sheila Hancock

I wish I could: Write more; sing; keep house as my Mum would approve; lose weight; stay at home

Why do I write:  Freedom; creativity; me time; control; achievement; approval; love.

What do I write:  People, age, relationships, change, searching.

Have I been successful?: 4 Wordwatchers Short Story 1st places (Summer Memories, The Bakers Daughter, Confession, Fresh Start).

What am I working on:

-         Breeze:  A woman’s quest to find her father and reality-v-dream.

-         Untitled:  A book for my son about adventure, danger and bravery.

-         Experiments:  Trying to find voice

What is my Goal?:  To complete a book, find a publisher, get published, work as a writer for the rest of my life, be as prolific as de Lint and McCall-Smith.
