BETTER ENDINGSJonathan Dodd The
Farmer's Wife was not quite nice To
chop the tails off those three mice. She
then felt sorry; and on her knees She
gave them each a piece of cheese. The
poor old Giant in the sky; Jack
stole his gold and made him cry. Jack's
Mother took the gold straight back, And
gave the boy a frightful smack. Goldilocks'
Father bought a chair, And
took it round to Baby Bear. She
doesn't find it quite so funny - He
bought it with her pocket money! Hansel
and Gretel soon found a ditch To
bury the body of the Witch. They
never went home; and nor would I, If
my mum and dad left me to die. When
all the gold turned back to straw The
King began to rant and roar. The
Queen and baby went to stay At
Rumpelstiltskin's hideaway. The
Ogre-mouse went down the hatch Of
Puss-in-Boots without a scratch. Imagine
everyone's surprise, When
he returned to normal size!
